Loss Circulation Material (LCM)

Loss Circulation Material (LCM) is a specially formulated drilling fluid additive used to prevent or reduce the loss of drilling mud into highly permeable, fractured, or cavernous formations. It helps seal fractures and pores, maintains wellbore stability, minimizes non-productive time, and improves drilling efficiency.

Applications:

LCM is widely used in oil and gas drilling, water well drilling, geothermal wells, mining, and HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling). It is suitable for water-based, oil-based, and synthetic drilling fluids.

Nut Plug

Nut Plug is a premium natural Loss Circulation Material manufactured from carefully processed and graded nutshells. It is designed to bridge and seal fractures, vugs, and highly permeable formations encountered during drilling operations. Due to its high compressive strength and excellent resilience, Nut Plug provides an effective seal while maintaining the rheological properties of drilling fluids.

Nut Plug is suitable for water-based, oil-based, and synthetic drilling fluids. It is available in Fine, Medium, and Coarse particle sizes to meet different formation conditions. It is widely used in oil & gas wells, geothermal drilling, water well drilling, and HDD applications where circulation losses are a major concern.

Mica

Mica is a naturally occurring mineral-based Loss Circulation Material known for its thin, plate-like structure and excellent thermal stability. The flakes interlock within fractures, creating a durable bridge that minimizes fluid loss while allowing drilling operations to continue efficiently.

Mica performs exceptionally well under high-temperature and high-pressure drilling conditions. It is chemically inert, non-abrasive, and compatible with most drilling fluid systems. Available in various mesh sizes, mica can be used alone or in combination with other LCM materials to enhance sealing efficiency.

Calcium Carbonate

Calcium Carbonate is a high-purity, acid-soluble bridging material widely used for controlling lost circulation during drilling and completion operations.
